Niche names BC top community college in Texas for second straight year

LAKE JACKSON, TX — Brazosport College was recently ranked as the top community college in Texas for the second straight year by Niche, a leading higher-education and career website.

Brazosport College was featured in the Niche’s article, “2024 Best Community Colleges in America,” earning the title as the top community college in Texas and the No. 22 community college in the country. This national result is three spots higher than last year’s No. 25 overall ranking.

As for Texas, Brazosport College was ranked No. 1 in both 2023 and 2024.

In a separate ranking from Niche, Brazosport College also earned the No. 26 spot on the “Best Hispanic-Serving Institutions in America” list. This ranking featured both two- and four-year institutions.

Niche’s Best Colleges ranking was based on analysis of academic, financial and student life data from the U.S. Departmement of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and alumni. For consideration on the Best Hispanic-Serving Institutions list, schools had to have Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) membership, and rankings were based on analysis of key statistics and reviews from students.
